Heating and cooling duct cleaning for Ringwood and the outer east
Pollen, leaf litter and the odd possum visitor all affect your HVAC system. We clean the ducts and components so your heating and cooling run clean.
About us
Ringwood and its neighbouring suburbs sit among tall gums and established gardens on the way to the Dandenong Ranges. It's a beautiful setting, but it means more pollen in spring, leaf debris on roofs and, in many homes, possums making their way into roof spaces. All of this can end up in your HVAC system, whether through the return air grille, an evaporative unit or a disconnected duct in the ceiling.
We look at your heating and cooling as a complete system: ducts, plenum, return air, filters and outlets. Homes across the outer east range from 1970s brick veneers with original ducted heating to recently built townhouses near Ringwood station with ducted reverse-cycle. We clean each to suit, check for damage and possum activity along the way, and leave the system running cleaner and more freely.
What we clean
We clean gas ducted heating and ducted reverse-cycle systems from end to end, using rotary brushes and negative-air extraction. Supply runs, plenums and outlets are all included, with careful attention to joints where debris tends to catch.
Possums and rodents sometimes chew, nest in or soil ducting in roof spaces. We remove contaminated debris, clean and sanitise affected sections, and show you damage that needs repair. Pest exclusion itself is best left to a pest control specialist.
Roof-mounted coolers in the outer east draw in pollen and leaf particles throughout summer. We clean the duct network and outlets ahead of the hot months and can advise on when the cooler pads might be due for attention.
Spring in the eastern suburbs is tough for hay fever sufferers. A thorough duct clean combined with a fresh return filter removes stored pollen from the system, so it isn't recirculated every time the heating or cooling switches on.
For ducted refrigerated systems, the indoor coil and fan can collect dust and grow mould over time. We clean these components to restore airflow and help the system heat and cool more efficiently right through the year.
Not sure what's going on in your roof? We inspect ducts, connections, insulation wrap and outlets, looking for debris, crushed or split sections and signs of animal activity, then explain what we find in plain terms.
Why choose us
Cleaning the ducts while ignoring a dirty filter or coil only solves half the problem. We assess every part of the airflow path and clean what needs it.
Brick veneers, split-level homes on sloping blocks and tight roof spaces are common around here. We know the typical layouts and plan our access accordingly.
We know what possum damage looks like inside ducts and roof spaces, and we'll tell you honestly when contamination needs more than a standard clean.
Drop sheets, sealed outlets and filtered extraction protect your home. We take shoes off or wear covers and leave everything just as we found it.

We inspect the plenum, ducts and roof space for debris, damage or animal activity before planning the clean around what we find.
Return, filter, plenum, ducts and outlets are cleaned in sequence, with negative-air extraction capturing everything we dislodge along the way.
We restart the system, confirm airflow at the outlets and talk you through photos of the work and any repairs to consider.
Service area
From our base in Ringwood we travel throughout Maroondah and the surrounding eastern suburbs, up towards the foothills.
FAQ
It's worth checking. Possums can tear or flatten flexible ducting, and their droppings and urine create strong odours that travel through the system. We can inspect the ducts, clean and sanitise contaminated sections and show you any damage. Have a wildlife specialist handle removal and exclusion first.
It can help reduce one source of pollen indoors. Pollen drawn in through doors, windows and evaporative coolers settles in ducts and gets blown around whenever the system runs. Removing it, and fitting a clean filter, means less recirculation. It works best combined with keeping windows shut on high-pollen days.
Typically the return air grille and filter, the plenum or air handler box, every supply duct and each outlet. For refrigerated systems we can also clean the indoor coil and fan. We'll confirm exactly what's included in your quote so there's no confusion on the day.
Clear access to the manhole and the return air grille, move fragile items away from outlets, and secure pets in a safe room. If your roof space has had possum activity, let us know beforehand so we can bring the right equipment and sanitiser.
Usually, yes. Split-level and sloping-block homes common around Ringwood often have multiple roof sections or limited crawl space. We use long flexible brush cables and can work from outlets as well as the roof. If any section can't be reached safely, we'll explain that before starting.
